Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!  Something amazing is happening in less than a month.  I literally can’t contain my excitement!  On October 14th, the sequel to one of my all time favorite 3DS games, Disney Magical World, will be releasing and you can bet that I will be covering the snot out of that game.  However, it has been quite a while since I played the first one.  So, with that in mind, I decided today to start a run through the original in order to see just how far I can get in the next month.  During that time I will be blogging about it here to show you the original, but also to build your hype over the second one.  That way you’ll be less annoyed when I finally get my copy and start talking about it NON STOP!!!  Let’s dive in.

I will rule this castle someday…

Disney Magical World is a life sim game something akin to Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing.  After receiving an invite from Castleton, you head on over to make a name for yourself.  In doing so, you earn stickers which allow you to open up new areas of the map and also allow you to participate in different parts of the game.  Right off the bat, I was tasked with meeting some folks who I already knew pretty well.

The thing I love about Magical World is that it really tries to make every character feel special when you meet them.  After all, every Disney character is someone’s favorite Disney character.  I met up with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto and Daisy and was earning my first sticker in no time.  This, in turn, led to me being able to start picking out clothes, which Minnie was all to ready to help with.

I thanked her by being passive aggressive with style.

From here, I was taught how to wear my outfit in style.  By wearing complete outfits, other members of the town can tell me who awesome I look.  This earns me Nice points which can be used for something magical.  I haven’t been told what yet.  But I get the feeling Magcical World is training me to get my life together and make sure my clothes match.  Nice try Disney!  Just for that, I’m wearing socks that don’t match!  AHA!!

Now I’m off to learn more about fashion from Daisy and hopefully open up the next chapter of my new magical life.  I’ll try to keep these posts short and sweet as they may be many, but hopefully it will be fun to watch me get to know the characters of this world and go on this month long adventure in order to prepare for the sequel!
