As I was sitting here thinking that I’d like to write a post, a notification popped up letting me know that the blog now has 700 unique folks who have clicked a button on this page to let me know that, hey, they like this stuff and they’d like to read more of it.  So, that’s pretty awesome!

We’re coming up on the year anniversary of when I really started working on this blog, or better yet, when this became a Disney-centric blog.  Today I thought I’d break down some numbers for you.  For funnsies.

A year ago, this blog had 17 followers.  Pretty much all of them were spam follows or my friends…or my Mom.  I posted one article every two months and barely ever checked any stats of any kind.  I got about 8 views a day.  Again, probably from my Mom.

Then, in July of 2015, I started writing about Disney, a passion I still heavily pursue here.

Today, I hit 700 followers.  Yesterday I had my highest day ever at 3,500 unique views.  And that’s all in a little under a year.  I say all this, not to brag, but to inspire.  If you love something, whether it’s Disney or comic books or movies or reading or whatever it is, and you look at blogs like this and think, “Psh, I could do better!” Then please, PLEASE, I am begging you.  DO IT!

This year has been one of the most amazing in my life.  I’ve met and chatted with some of the most amazing human beings on Earth because of this blog.  I’ve become part of a community.  I found people who love what I love.  I found people who get excited when an iPhone game about Disney updates and come here to find out what’s new with it!  Every day when I read your comments and thoughts and talk with you guys, I feel so friggin’ lucky.  You can’t even imagine.  Which is why, if you don’t write a blog, and have even considered doing it.  JUST DO IT!  It will change your life.  I know that for a fact.

My most recent project for the site, a little story I’ve been writing called The Kingdom, has been some of the most fun I’ve ever had.  We’re almost done with Pixar films (Finding Dory will be jumping ahead and will be up on Sunday) but there are still so many Disney films to explore.  And of course, my devotion to Disney Magic Kingdoms the game has no bounds.  Not to mention that sooner or later I get to start telling you guys about this amazing new novel I’ve been working on, scheduled to come out next June.  This has been an amazing year and I like to think that I’ve grown just as much as this blog.

Earlier this week, in the wake of the Orlando massacre, I wrote a post in which I said that I love all of you.  And that has never been more true.  Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for allowing me into your hearts and lives.  Whether you read this little blog on a phone, or computer, or tablet, I am just so fortunate that you read it at all.  Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
