Disney 16-Bit Classics Now Available on PC, Mac and Linux

Hello my fellow Disney video game players.  If you’re like me, you might be constantly on the lookout for that next fix.  That next Disney game that will strike a cord and have you mashing at the controller, the way Grandma mashes the potatoes at Thanksgiving.  OW!  Sorry, that poor joke made my arm hurt.

You’re in luck!  GOG.com has just released Aladdin, The Lion King and The Jungle Book back from the dead of the Sega Genesis era.  They’re all pixely and sidescrolly and you just want to grab onto them and go!

Each game is running $9.99 but are on sale for the launch down to $8.99.  The best way to purchase them, however, is as a set of three which comes at the price of $19.99.

Do any of these games strike a cord withe you and make you remember a simpler time?  Will be picking any of these up for PC, Mac or Linux?  I’m considering picking them up to do some fun Let’s Play articles but my finger is still hovering precariously over the PURCHASE button.  Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

To purchase the games for your very own, head here!

  1. If they were available on a console, like the PlayStation Store, I’d probably do it. Not a huge fan of PC games, though, as I don’t want to invest in a controller, though I’m not even sure my MacBook Air has a port for that. LOL

  2. Ooh Aladdin! I had it on my Sega Megadrive. I still have it at my parents house I think. I loved that game. I don’t think I got past the genie level later on. I’ve never played the other two.
