A New Direction for an Old Blog

Hello World! It has been quite a while since I’ve posted on this blog and even longer since I’ve legitimately blogged on it.  Many of you became fans of this blog through my Disney posting and while posting about Disney everyday was wonderful and amazing, the twists and turns of everyday managed to pull me in new and unforeseeable directions.

If you follow me on any Social Media, you’ll know about a few of my key interests.  Going forward I want this blog to be more of a reflection of me as a whole.  From my love of reading and gaming, to my obsession with vegan cooking (and eating) as well as my passion for the work that I do with Kiehl’s Since 1851, I want this blog to be a place I can spread knowledge, humor, and maybe a recipe now and then.

It’s amazing how a job can transform your entire life.  Six years ago, i joined Kiehl’s knowing nothing about skincare. And since then, it has not only become a big part of my life, but it has also become one of my favorite things to share with people. Those who know me from Instagram or Facebook will know that I LOVE teaching, sharing and creating content focused on Skincare. And sure, sometimes I slap myself with a mask brush, or poke my eye while trying to apply eye cream, but it’s always in the name of teaching and having a good time doing it!

The world is a scary place right now. But while it’s easy, especially for an introvert like myself, to cave in on myself, I think now is the time to reinvent ourselves. To try working and creating in new and dangerous ways. To be scared, sure, but to be scared in a way that furthers us as human beings.

My love of working for a skincare brand has fostered a love for naturality, social networking, creativity and, most importantly, educating and communicating with knowledge and humor. That being said, this blog is going to look a little different from a content standpoint going forward.

I want to share my love of self-care with all of you. Perhaps that means putting on a face mask and treating ourselves. Maybe it means cooking (or baking) something delicious. Maybe we’ll get a little new-age with some tarot readings.  Maybe I’ll just rant about the most recent book I’m obsessed with.

So join me on this little experiment.  Let’s read a book together, jade roll our worries away, eat a tasty treat and have some fun along the way!

Welcome back to Jaysen Headley Writes!
